As we already announced in summer of last year, we're paying for a scene-party purely for the C64 and closely related computers from the profits we made on the Retro Replay. The location of the event is very interesting: It's an air-raid shelter from worldwar II. It's confusing corridors, countless rooms and up to 3 meter thick walls give it a special charme.
Due to the limited space, the organizers do not allow setting up PCs if they are not actively used as C64-development systems. The Pentecost weekend (may 28th to may 31st) will bring "oldschool"-entertainment like a cracking competition, but also competitions that are familiar from other scene-parties: Demo, graphics, music. The only Retro Replay-specific thing is a jingle-competition. The winner's jingle might be played on every power-up of a C64 with a Retro replay.
Not only owners of the Retro Replay are invited, but everyone who is an active member of the C64 scene. Our sponsoring is not only used to lower the entrance fee (presumably about 20,- EUR), but also for free beer and a dinner that is delivered into the bunker. You can choose between vegetarian and non-vegetarian food when you reserve your seat on the Party-webseite.
